Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, the Minister of Information and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Communication Centre (NCC), has affirmed that the restructuring of the NCC, by establishing shared government services, and merging communication departments at ministries will improve communication efficiency, as well as achieve Bahrain’s development goals and strengthen the media sector’s role in the 2023-2026 government programme.
The minister noted that the communication sector in Bahrain is a dynamic and important field that requires continuous development to keep pace with rapid developments.
The Royal Decree, which stipulates the affiliation of communication departments with a unified competent entity, will contribute to the development of the media sector based on clear professional standards, he said.
This consolidates the role of government communication and supports the integration of efforts among various departments in the media and communication sector in government agencies, Dr. Al Noaimi added.
The minister said that regulating shared communications services will boost investment in the communications sector, as it serves as a crucial tool for communication with society, and a platform for the public in Bahrain and abroad to stay informed about the government’s work and its continuous endeavours in the interest of the country and its citizens.
